Hey, what is in a one night stand?
Much ado about nothing I say.
CIRCA 2006 DECEMBER:
"Boorish I saw you leave the party with my fiancee's friend"
"I have to stop my future wife freom associating with her"
"Put yourself underfoot my dear fiend" Said boorish as he lit up his last cigarette for the night.
"There is nothing wrong with what happened, you ought to respect her for her lack of hipocrisy".
That night, the drums were beating, copious amounts of alcohol were consumed and the passions were flowing.
We shared a few innuendo ladden conversations, flirted, laughed, smiled, danced and knew that all things being equal, we would end the night with a bit of passion. Two consenting adults deciding to sleep with one another. What could be more beautiful than that?
Alas, we are hypocritical in our views of these sorts of things. Why is it that men view all women as cheap (except the women that we chose to marry)?
I wonder wht we compell our women to lie to us about their pecaddilloes and experiences, and then we end up spitting fire and brimstone when we find our wives playing a rusty trombone on Ishiaku the maiguard.
Think my friend, it is no big deal, I'd much rather deal with a woman that makes her intentions known from the start, as opposed to playing the sweet innocent wifey.......................
so if it feels right, lets go together.

As for the whole one night stand thing..its so funny I remember one guy was telling me almost the same story only that he got played afterwards....after indulging in several rounds of sex with this decent girl he met in a bar..the next morning she told him to keep quiet while she telephoned her boyfie..dude was well pissed....but really wat did he expect?? people tend to expect too much.. sori for d long story :-)

its society!!!!they have conditioned women to be like that!!!a woman giving details of her sexcapades will be viewed as a slut..while a man while be applauded!!!so women just tend to lie about this things...
and not everyone is as liberal as you are to you its two consenting adults sleeping together..to some other guys in d same postion it will be "okay this girl is a slut"..even if they were the one that slept with her!!
and that your friend does he know what his own fiancee too has done or is doing sef!

Wow..I love the way you write. I am totally with you on the issue of double standards. I personally like to present myself truthful and it has made people label me in soo many different ways. oh well I guess ama have to start lying innit?!?!

Pink-Satin has said it all. It's just the way it is. Particularly in our culture (Naija, African). Every guy out there would say they are liberal but very few are.
'Point is... men do not want a woman with a long sexual history for a wife. If a woman has a colourful history and wants a husband, 'best she keeps that history to herself. (minus STDs of course)
I blame 3 things...bear with me & I’ll explain.
1. Perceptions...forged by social conditioning...that age old adage of ‘no sex before marriage’...that backward mindset that sex is 4 creation only...fundamentally I think it comes down to the fact that creating life...for a small instance in time is the only way that human beings get 2 resemble their creator (i.e. God)
2. Ego... imagine being with someone 1 night...u wanted 2 & she wanted 2...it was good...no great...maybe even amazing...you’re strutting around feeling like the ultimate stud...she said only u have managed to make her feel this way...that she screamed like never b4...plus it went on all night long...u give yourself credit for such stamina...u r knackered but u can't help smiling when u replay this in your mind...2 days later you’re hanging out with friends...then u hear that someone else...better yet someone u know...apparently rocked that same lady’s world the next night...not good...y? people don’t take 2 well 2 finding out they are nothing special...u experience a change of mindset...to avoid feeling like a fool u start 2 sling mud...she is not a lady...she is...was...will always be 'the slag'
3. Insecurities...based on fear...an absence of love.
My conclusion...even between consenting adults...these things are rarely that simple...scratch the surface and see.

Wow the issue of the one night stand... First and fore Judging someone is so not cool... To the ignorant ass that think because home-girl went home you makes her not fit to hang out with is fiance... I feel so bad for dude.... Boorish I'm glad you have an open mind, but wait i hope this ain't all talk, and why would your friend automatically assume u slept with the chick, have you been kissing and telling...
