There is no honour in deceit, I fail to understand why people chose to lie and deceive others. Can they not see that eventually the lies will catch up with them? There is nothing more despicable than a deceiver, as far as I am concerned the truth must be told, regardless of how bitter, irrespective of the short term effects it may have, in the long run it is an easier route than deceiving and then having to think up other lies to cover up your initial deceit.

The mark of a true man (or woman) is the ability to be strong and honourable enough to be honest. I have friends that lie to me, more often than not, when aware of their deceit I choose not to say a word, and allow them feel like they have outsmarted me, but what ever regard i may have had for them simply evaporates. Are the deceivers truly smart? Or are they just plain stupid? Think about it.

I put up no airs and no graces, I believe that the people i am close to and most especially the woman i eventually settle with, should know the true me, warts and all. I believe, that trust is gained and there is no greater mark of greatness than for those closest to you to be able to vouch for you. I constantly come across people who chose to deceive their partners, they may be initially impressed by the front, but eventually the veneer wears away, and someone gets hurt.

Never compromise your ideals.

Ene is a neighbour of a friend of mine, unfortunately she was born with a hole in her heart and her family is unable to afford the hospital fees for her operation. As it stands, hospital admission and the post-surgical care which will cost about 20'000 SFR(about 16'000 USD). These wavers can be estimated at about 2'000'000.00 Naira. However, since he is only an employee (he is not the proprietor) in Insel-Spital in Berne, the hospital will still charge about 20'000 Swiss Francs (2Million Naira) for hospitalization, accommodation, treatment etc. He made it clear, that this 2 Million Naira would have to be raised plus 2 tickets (Ene and her Mum). if you can, please donate, I can personally verify that this is not fraudulent, if you cannot donate please make a mention of this on your websites, blogs, etc.
